Based on that chart, 3 incorrect has been the minimum curve for an 800 in CR? Correct me if I’m mistaken… I know they do -1.25, but -3.75 rounds to -3.

what do u guys think a predictable range would be for the amount of questions you could miss on the math to get at least a 600? lol i was kinda aiming for that this year.

If you didnt answer 15 questions or answered 11 wrong you should have 600 in Math.

i’m praying for a lenient writing curve. I don’t think I got any MC wrong, but I think I could only potentially score a maximum of about a 10 or 9 on the essay if I’m lucky. And that’s a big if, since my examples sucked.

how about predictable ranges for getting a 700 in writing and reading? lol sorry dont mean to be a nuisance, i just wanna try and gauge my score

I think it’s like 57 to 59 raw score in CR. In writing I dont know, it’s divided between essay and MC.

Thanks for assuaging some of my fears guys! This is my last chance so I’m super nervous.

@hmmmmmmm

I also got a 12 with -4 MC on the May SAT, but got a 740 O.o…discrepancies much?

^I rechecked and I actually missed 5. Makes sense now haha.

Can anyone make a prediction on what -2 and 12 essay will be this time?

nluu0929

You’re going to hate me.

-7 with a 12 essay – 730

any chance for -2 and 12 essay to be a 780?

you might get 800

@onhcetum

:O, aww, the May SAT curve wasn’t too lenient then =/. I hope this October one ended up better >.>

what would a -1 with a 10 essay be for writing?

annayism, that’s a pretty high 700 or even 800 if you’re lucky

@ nerdess

thanks! i really hope i am that lucky :P

yes best wishes for all of us
but again
collegeboard is seriously SO inconsistent with the curves, so don’t rely on it
well my friend got 9 on the essay but perfect on the MC and she got 800
that was like a Nov 2008, so different test, but i’m just trying relate :)

On the March SAT, I had -0 and a 9 essay, and still got an 800. So I’m guessing one doesn’t need a “perfect” essay score to do well in the writing section?

Matt

Definitely not. The MC section accounts for the majority of the writing score.

What would -3 and 11 essay give?
-4 and 10?
