<p>my D is waiting for 10 more decisions, but right now she has 3 acceptances under her belt, (included American). If it happens that all 10s are rejections, is she going to attend American? i don’t know!! we are still thinking… her FA package is really good, like the others 2 … but we still don’t know… and what about you guys??</p>

<p>Unless their financial aid package magically increases itself, I doubt it. My EFC is on the lower side of 5k, yet they expect me to come up with 20k. </p>

Waitlisted at Bucknell (will decline)</p>
<p>If I get into Georgetown or an Ivy I will decline American.</p>
<p>If I get into George Washington, I'll have to think about it. Then I'd say there's a 50 to 60 % chance of me enrolling at American.</p>

<p>It doesn't seem that way. It seems as if AU is a safety school, either academically or $$. Am I not reading this correctly?</p>

<p>i didn't get into GW as well. I have BU and NYU to hear from. If I get rejected from those two which I have a feeling I will then it's between Howard, American, Univ. of South Carolina and NC State.</p>
<p>American is a great school, but they gave me a little less compared to my other financial aid packages and I'm not a huge fan their general curriculum. But with my other two top choices, their general curriculum is really flexible and that's what makes me want to go there, even if American is a little more prestigeous than them.</p>
<p>Don't worry much about prestige or trying to look good for anybody else. Just go where you're going to be happy.</p>
<p>My friend who goes to American said that most of the kids are really politically self-righteous and all want to be senators and smarter than the kid next to them. But she loves their business school, so. What are you looking to potentially major in?</p>
<p>Yea ncstudent09 I applied to NYU and BU aswell, I got into NYU but im not too keen on going there now so im choosing american over it. Trust me, I know how it feels but whatever a lot of kids i know didnt get into american aswell.</p>
<p>ncstudent09, don't fret about not getting into GWU. American in an awesome school, too. I have read that a lot of people actually prefer American to GW.</p>
