Okay I'm a junior, and I want one of these schools to be my safety. I already have SDSU as one safety, but I want one that is rolling admissions. If I choose ASU, I plan to apply in July, so I will be accepted into a college before my senior year starts.

So I have about 5 months left, but I have SAT's, SAT 2's, AP Tests, my regular school work, Relay 4 Life, Tennis, and of course I must have time to have fun. So I really don't have that much time left until I have decide which one to apply to.

I truly can't decide which one is better for me, and I don't plan on visiting them unless they are my top options.

I plan to major in Finance or some type of business, but I want to live in SoCal after I graduate. I know IU's program is better, but wouldn't ASU be a better choice based on location, with my goal of working in SoCal?

Otherwise these schools seem equal in terms of athletics and social life. However I would enjoy ASU's option of city life. But I'm also worried about ASU's commuter school reputation.

So I can't really decide, so I'm hoping your opinions could maybe sway me towards one of these schools. Thanks....and all opinions will be appreciated.

If you really want to end up in Southern California, all other things approximately equal, college in Arizona makes more sense to me than college in Indiana!

What's up SoCal18 ??what happen to U of miami??I spent a little time in boca raton near miami that's insane i couldn't go to school there too much beautiful girls...so you are a junior??that's good men ..i'm so stress out!!! i'm a triple senior can't wait to recive my acceptance letters...i hope i go to california...well anyways choose indiana...arizona is to closo to your home..

Just be aware that you get admitted to 'pre-business'
at ASU. You'll need to qualify based on college grades
to get admitted to Carey, Finance is the most competitive,
and you'll need 3.5 min GPA in college which can be pretty hard, with all the distractions Tempe offers. Otherwise you'll need to choose a different major for which you make the grade.

Don't know how this works for IU and Kelley.

Indiana has direct admit into the Kelley School if you have over 1300 and meet some other criteria. Indiana's business school reputation is better than ASU and would server you well in SoCal. Apply to both, though.

Socal18, what are you career interests? if its Fortune 500, Big 4 Accounting than I'd say either one is fine but more closer to Arizona since

1: Fortune 500/Big 4 tend to look more on individual track record than school prestige
2: These firms/companies recruit in their respective regional area (hence Arizona might be more sensible if you want work in CA?)
3: If cost is an issue (depending on which school ends up more affordable to you)

If you're looking into more specialized or more competitive fields, you should probaly do more research and asking around about which school is more appropriate.

Honestly, Indiana Kelley doesn't seem to have much of a reputation in Socal. its usually, the UC's/Cal-states/top privates on the West Coast/other pac-10 schools that are recruited usually.

pateta00 - UMiami is my #1 choice, but ASU or Indiana will be my #2 safety school.

Gator Bait 23 - I don't like U of A......ASU seems like a way better fit for me.

For Indiana and ASU's direct admit, I have the rank for Indiana, and I'm pretty sure I have a 3.5 ASU gpa, but I'm taking the SAT in March, so then I will find out if I meet all the requirements.

And I've looked into both school programs and they both seem equally strong. Indiana grads tend to have higher starting salaries, but there isn't too much of a difference.

I just want to apply to one, bc asu and indiana are my last resort schools.

I love SDSU. It is in my favorite city and 10 minutes from the beach, with the best weather in the world. It has a great business program, and it has great connections in socal. And it is basically free.
