Which school provides the best college experience: social life, parties, surrounding areas, sports, school spirit, happiest students......??????

Academics are more important homes.

Regardless, i'll take IUB overall.

Well these are the safety schools I'm choosing from, so if I'm going to take an academic hit, I might as well go to the school where I'll have the best time.

Any other opinions

What sport do you want to proud of most?

Well my favorites are football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball.

Overall I guess football

Then Indiana would be at the bottom of that list... ASU/Oregon are sixes.

ASU is the biggest school in the U.S. (or in the top 5, it fluctuates) so parties are all that go on down there. if your going to take an Academic hit go to ASU. I dont know your stats but it's easy to get into their honors programs.

If you have a penchant for rolling J's and enjoying small groups of happy people... Oregon may be your place.... if you like to get wasted/silly drunk and have a lot of crazy ladies around...ASU is the spot.

Okay well I've already eliminated UOregon. So now I'm deciding betwen ASU and IU.

Isn't IU suppposed to be really fun? or does is it suck compared to ASU?

You're picking safety schools, but you need to realize that you likely won't be able to afford any of them. Oregon has very few scholarships. I don't know about ASU, but IU only has Faculty Awards, and the maximum you can get is 7K/year. Unless you are truly outstanding and get $$$ from the Honors College or the Wells Scholarship, it's going to be 13K/year in tuition, and considering you have a plethora of options in-state, it would be hard to convince your parents that OOS is the way to go.

No, IU is very fun. It's always one of the top 10 party schools, it has Big 10 sports (basketball is especially fun, they also have a darn good soccer team), and still has great academics (one of the top 50 universities in the nation). It's big on frats/sororities too if that's what you're looking for.

SoCal18, do you want out of Cal?
You have a good chance at UCSB, UCD, and Cal Poly. SDSU would be a safety.

Well I plan on applying to Miami, UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, USC, and UW-Madison. But I want some 100% safeties. I'm also applying to SDSU, but they have an acceptance rate of ~46%, so that isn't safe enough.

I don't like any other cal states, or instate privates, or ucr, ucsc, and ucm. So my only other option is oos.

And ASU's overall oos cost is around the same as a UC.....so that isn't too bad. And if I have to I don't mind having to take out a bunch of loans.

Well i'll give you this much
