I've been wanting to study abroad for a semester ever since I began university. My school doesn't do semester programs and although 1 year is a great amount of time to explore, I think I might start with a semester. Does anyone know and good arts study abroad program? I was leaning towards Europe thinking that I can learn a lot about the history of art. Thank you guys in advance! :)

If you’re doing an abroad program through another university (other than your own) you need to talk to your adviser so that he/she can find a program that your university will accept the credit hours from. There’s no use in doing a program through another school that your university will not accept credit hours from b/c then you might as well just take personal time off and go to Europe. Your adviser should know this information.

Also, some schools have abroad gen-ed programs if you still have a lot left over that you need to do. (mine has one-I think at st. Andrews (but not sure)-for gen-eds

Best of luck and I hope you find a great program!

I highly recommend SACI in Florence.
