Hey guys, this is my first post on here :)
I was wondering about Georgetown's art supplement form. They don't specify anything regarding photography and I wanted to know if I would be able to submit some of my photography because I believe it is a big part of me and would help the admission board receive a clear picture of myself. I know the common app allows photography in the art supplement form, right?
Also, I was wondering on whether this would increase my chances, even slightly. I know it wouldn't be a deciding factor or anything, but could it help at all, especially considering I am not an art major? Thanks!

You can submit photography as an art supplement. It certainly can’t hurt you, and it could help, though it would not - as you said - be a deciding factor. Keep in mind that the people looking at the art supplements are members of the faculty, so they’re not going to evaluating it in the context of your personality or your application. They are looking for evidence of outstanding artistic merit or aptitude. If you think you have photos that demonstrate this, by all means, go ahead.

@dzleprechaun Thanks for the response! And when you say “members of the faculty” you mean art professors and such?

Right. You need experts in the field to gauge uncommon artistic talent/merit.

@dzleprechaun Thanks so much!

@CalCool101 : So I am applying to Georgetown EA and I was planning on submitting photography in my art supplement. But now I cannot find anything on their website in regards to sending one? Do they still accept art supplements?

Call the Admissions office. They will connect you to the person in charge of art supplements (if they are accepting them this year). I can’t find the link for that on the website.

I know that they are accepting performing arts supplements. To get the instructions for performing arts supplements, go to each department (like dance or music) and click on the “Prospective Students” link.

Good luck with your art supplement.
