I am planning to apply for princeton university and i want to apply for art supplement. However, i found out that you can apply for it after you summit your application the university. I am only missing the teachers recommendations and i want to prepare for the art supplement. If i want to sing, not classical, are there any limitations to the songs choices and how many minutes should it be? and if it should be more than like five minutes, should i do like two songs seperately or can i like combine it together?

what do you mean “not classical”? According to http://admission.princeton.edu/sites/admission/files/pdfs/Optional_Arts_Submission_Types.pdf they only allow for Western classical voice. That PDF should also answer your other questions.

Edit: Unless you’re doing jazz voice, which I missed looking at the PDF the first time. Specifications for jazz are also on the PDF.

oh ok thank you:) do you know if i can change the modern music into jazz style and sing it? or does it have to be like classical jazz songs?

I’m not sure what you mean by “modern music”? What exactly are you doing?

i don’t know:( i just wanted to try for art supplement because i have been doing music since i was young. what i mean by modern song is like…songs like sang by mariah carey or ariana grande. DO you think i can put the music into jazz sytles and sing them?

Are you sure you can submit an art supplement 5+ days after the deadline? It seemed like Nov. 6 was a pretty clear deadline.

I don’t really think that’s a good idea. I think they’re looking more for classic jazz.

thank you. and i am apply for regular decision not for early action or decision but thank you:)

It states for Jazz “advanced solo work.” Bad, bad idea.

was it OK if I submitted my music supplement ON november 6th?

@RunningForLife yes.
