I originally planned on submitting an art supplement with my applications to various schools, so I selected "Yes" on their Common Apps for the question "Do you intend to submit an Art Supplement...?"

However, I decided not to send any.

Would this inconsistency negatively affect my chances for admission? Should I submit the supplement anyway?

I know this is a really insignificant question, but I'm trying to decide whether I should take the time to record a supplement or focus on finishing my essays instead.

Non-sarcastic comments appreciated!

I had a similar question, and would love to hear some feedback.

Why did you change your minds about submitting a supplement? Since you checked off you would, I think that you should.

Contact the school to ask how you should proceed. I can’t see how not submitting an arts supplement would hurt your admissions chances. There are too many applicants for admissions committees to “hold grudges” like that.

Good luck!

@KeDIX: I changed my mind because I planned to play/sing a pop piece, but then I realized that Princeton only accepts classical and jazz pieces. So I’d have to go find and learn one…probably not worth it.

Oh I see. That makes sense. I wouldn’t rush to learn something new at the last minute.

@holmesfan: Good news! I contacted admissions and they said that they won’t penalize for not submitting an art supplement, and because I sent an email, they’ll know not to expect an art supplement from me.
