Art Supplements - Violin

Hey, guys. So I'm trying to figure out the pieces I want to play for my art supplement so I can practice them over the summer and record them in the fall to send to colleges. Right now I have Concerto No. 22 by Viotti, and for my other one, I want to play something contemporary. Can anyone recommend anything? I was thinking maybe something by Patrick Wolf, but I haven't delved much into it.

If anyone else is doing violin pieces as art supplements, what are you playing?

Thanks. :]

You realllly should do contemporary to stand out

Oh. I just want to play contemporary since I think it’s cool, but that works, too. I’m going to Governor’s School this summer for violin, and apparently the instructors have us only play 20th century and onwards music, so I’ll see if I can find something there.

i used to play the violin… quit in the 8th grade because our school doesn’t have an orchestra -.- and I didn’t like it enough to play on my own. anyways good luck…
