so a friend of mine at UCLA wrote a pretty interesting article that basically summarized his experience there freshman year. it's kinda cool to read about what he went through since I can relate to it a lot as well. it's pretty short, if you wanna read it here it is--

Oh wow that's really sad. I'm filling the studious part in but I always tried to be but didn't know how. But as far as becoming introverted. I don't know I found that story very very sad. Not in a pathetic way but a sad way. I hate my roommate and people sympathize with me but for a totally different reason. Wow I can't get over that. That was sad.

I can definitely relate to it :) Though it's nice to try to change your image for a bit to see how it works out... it doesn't really. You end up having to be true to yourself in order to be sane and get the friends you really want.

It's also all about balance.

Hmm, I didn't think it was sad.. kinda made me smile.

just for the record, i'm a high schooler

the lesson - be yourself! well... at least that's what I thought it was until she fell into a depression at the end...

That was a great essay (and I call it that because it seemed more like an essay than an article). College isn't all roses, though many of us wish it were so. But then again, I guess it's what you make it...gah, what will the next four years bring? Hmm...
