I got into Berkeley, Cornell, and NYU and am doing pre-med. However, I love art so much and really want to have a visual art major/minor or maybe just take a couple of art classes in college. Which college has relatively strong art department? Of course they are not the top top art schools but I am only doing art for my personal interest and it's not likely to affect my career. Please give me some advices. Thank you so much!!

Honestly, I think you should make your choice of schools based on criteria more important to your future than which has the best classes for your minor (or personal interst or hobby).

That said, NYU has a great photography department, and of course, it is right in the epicenter of art and culture in the U.S., so you will probably get more exposure and inspiration there than at Cornell or Berkeley.

I just want to take into consideration of different things...
I really love art and I think it will have just as important impact as my career in the future so that's why I really concern about the art department.

What about Cornell?? Anyone major in art @ Cornell here??? Any opinion?

Cornell is isolated compared to your other two options. The city of Ithaca, NY, is very 'artsy' but I don't think you can compare apples with oranges. Cornell is Ivy League and that's the big draw for many people, though a nephew of mine would argue that Cornell impresses East Coasters much more than West Coasters (he's from San Diego and found his grad degree from Cornell meant little back where he comes from). Cornell has the Johnson Art Museum, but if you're looking for something beyond the concept of taking classes on campus, I'd say you'll have greater opportunities in a major metropolitan city.

For pure fine arts courses, Cornell is the best of the three.
