Arts + Sciences?

Ok, so I guess my first question is how difficult is it to get into the A+S school? I know it's not NEARLY as hard as the other schools, but I'm wasn't sure what the average acceptance/GPA/SAT score was...

Second question, would it be a dumb idea to attend the A+S school in hopes to transfer to one of the other schools? I slacked off a bit in high school so my GPA would never get me into another school. Does anyone know of someone that have done this with success? I'd hate to be accepted to the A+S school with a small chance of ever transfering out.

Thanks!

specifics please? your stats and which school at Cuse you are thinking of transferring into
People switch around all the time…

GPA: 3.1 (as of now, will probably increase when first semester grades come out)
SAT: 1820/2400 1180/1600

Umm, I’ve never really posted on here so I don’t know what else to include? Ha, but yeah. Strong essay and recs, 2 leadership positions…I know it’s a really low GPA, but it has increased every year. I know it’s only so low because I really didn’t try in high school :/

1) you are definitely a reach for arts and sci; you’d be better off with human ec as your first choice school

2) people transfer into other schools all the time…

oh darn, I wish I had known that before I applied! I figured A+S would be the easiest  I didn’t put a second choice…

hi everyone, any admitted student families attending the 4/18 “open house” we are from California, d admitted to A&S via early decision. hope we can meet! -

You are NOT a reach for Arts and Sciences. Your SAT makes you a low match/safety for CAS.

thanks eromano333!

u know what, the sat middle 50% range is 1680-1860, so I think you are OK.

Yea you’re definitely set for A+S no problem, and you’re a LOCK if you didn’t apply for financial aid! ;)

goood! and yes I applied anyway, just in case (:
