As a college student how do you feel about these health topics

I am on my phone so I apologize for any possible errors.

I’ve seen the parents POV and wanted to see how students felt;

  1. Free birth control (condoms and pills), prescriptions given right at school
  2. The selling of Plan B on campus
  3. The hookup culture
  1. Good! Why not? It's going to happen, so make it safe.
  2. Same as above^
  3. That's for the individual to decide. I don't care for it, but if other people want to go right ahead.

Really not that much to debate IMO

  1. You're an adult. You should be able to get prescriptions at school (actually I don't believe that birth control should need prescriptions). Good that the school cares about your health and wellbeing.
  2. See above.
  3. Pure myth. Students actually have less sexual partners now than they did some 20 years ago. I am beyond over hearing about the so-called "hook up culture" like it's some new and novel thing.

I agree. What’s the debate? Of COURSE health care should be available on campus. No one would debate whether or not motrin should be sold on campus. I see birth control, plan B, and elective abortions all under the same umbrella as every other type of health care.

  1. A good idea for reducing pregnancy dropouts and other STDs/STIs. Why make responsible behavior difficult by forcing students to go off campus for prescriptions/bc? And agree with the above poster on why should bc require a prescription.
  2. Absolutely a good idea.
  3. If people wanna hook up good for them. I will say that at my particular school I wish it was a bit more balanced. The hookup culture dominates the romantic scene and it would be nice for more people to be interested in longer term relationships. But to each their own.

Sounds like a good idea, especially if the school has an on campus health center. My school has bowls of condoms located around the university and encourages anyone to take a handful.

Good idea although I would imagine that many schools’ health centers are closed on weekends when Plan B is most likely to be needed. Hopefully there’s also a pharmacy nearby.

Go for it. Just use protection.
