As a senior should I take physics or AP Chemistry?

So I’m going to be a senior in high school next year and I need to decide if I’m going to take physics or AP Chemistry. I have already taken regular chemistry last year I liked it and got good grades. I have never taken any other physics class in high school.
My schedule for next year:
-English 12(a college class but not AP)
-Pre calc
-Economics/public policy
-French 5
-either physics or AP Chem
So as you can see my classes aren’t that hard next year and I figured I can handle the Chem. I’m interested in doing something science related in college, but idk exactly what yet. What I want to do is the chemistry because I like it, but is it important to have a background in physics before college?? PLEASE answer anyone who might help me with this decision. Thank you (:

I would recommend physics, simply because colleges like to see that someone diversified their field of sciences.

I’m assuming you already took biology and chem? Usually, the trio is physics, biology, chem, and then an AP version of one of those in senior year, but if you’re lacking one of them, physics in this case, I would heavily recommend you take it when you can.

Many top colleges recommend a year of bio, chem, and physics, so my recommendation would be physics, but ask your GC.

For me in New York you take earth science so freshman year was bio, sophomore earth science, and junior year I took chemistry
