As of now, I am a sophomore in high school. Freshman year, my GPA was 3.85 the first semester and around 3.65 the 2nd semester. I am aware that freshman grades don't really count. This semester of Sophomore year I haven't really been doing well. I have about a 3.2 GPA, but it's only midway through the semester. I don't do any sports atm, but i am thinking of doing water polo and softball. I volunteer at the hospital but I don't have many hours. What do you think my chances are of getting into CPP as of now? What GPA should I work towards? Is a 3.2 enough to get in if i have extracurriculars? And what should i do to help me stand out? Thanks!

What do you want to major in CPP? Csu’s and cal poly are all about GPA and test scores so theres no other significant way for you to stand out besides having good gpa and test scores. I think the average gpa is around csu gpa3.5-3.7 and Math+cr score of 1150-1200 i am not sure about specific average scores. You will need to check out the website. Try to get higher gpa and you will be set. It’s really good that you’re looking up colleges in sophomore year! Goodluck!

Marketing or communications, and thanks!

I think if you keep up your gpa at 3.5-3.6 and a decent sat score of 1800’s on the SAT i say you have no problem getting into CPP. It is easier in terms of getting in with marketing, being that it is not a completely impacted major. Goodluck and hope for the best!
