ASAP: TCU vs TTU vs UH vs SHSU

Whats going on everybody, need some help. Having what I was told a summer meltdown. I am transfer student and originally was going to go to UH for Economics but my profile at the school for some reason got deleted so now I would have to redo all my Financial Aid. It ticked me off so I trashed them but could be there last minute. I got accepted to Texas Tech and Texas Christian for Mechanical Engineering or Economics and Sam Houston State Finance. What should I do. The school I went to didnt have any pre engineering so the closest I could do was AAS with minor in business. I know if I go to TTU or TCU it will take around another 3-4 yrs for a BS in ME, TCU for Economics it will be 2 for BS in Economics. If I go to UH or SHSU in 3-4 yrs max I would have my Masters.

What do you think would be better? Thx

If financial aid is an issue, can you afford TCU? I think you have to decide if you want to do engineering or economics and go from there. Unless TCU is giving you lots of money, I don’t see the point of going there. I would focus on UH or TTU and pass on Sam Houston.

All colleges are being paid for by the government so no worries there. I was going to pass on TTU and either go local or TCU. I leaning more towards TCU since I like being challenged. Besides from what I hear it is a great university.

If money isn’t an issue, I’d say go for TCU, but that’s my personal opinion. It’s definitely a more exclusive school to get into, but it depends on what you want. TCU is 1/3 the size of Texas Tech, and I’d prefer a smaller school, but again, a personal preference. Socially though, TCU has a reputation of being a big Greek school with a lot of white upper class students. Not sure about the reputation of the other schools. In the end, though, it depends on what type of environment you feel you’d be most comfortable in. But, for FWIW, TCU is definitely the best school out of the 4 academically.

If money isn’t an issue, then definitely keep TCU in the running. I would say it’s between TTU and TCU and the different cultures.
