I've looked and looked but I haven't found anything really of actual people talking about the Asheville boarding school. From what I see, it looks to have good academics and sports but I really wanted to know how other people felt about it

I am applying to the Asheville School this year and am shadowing on wends. It has a beautiful campus, I took the SSAT there and visited once before. After school every day they have an extracurricular time and everyone is involved. I am a ninth grader in Asheville but applying as a border because it is harder to get in as a day student. The academics are a bit above the big public hs I am at. It is a small school with about 70/grade. If you are looking to get into a top college/ ivy league it may not be the place to go. If you look at the college matriculation for the last five years only about 1-4 kids a year go and get into the ivy league. Still probably the best boarding school in the south. A cute small welcoming community. They also are known for not letting kids in that needed FA.

Ahh, after Wednesday you should tell me how it went!

Are you from Asheville?

No I’m from a little town near Winston, I wanted a nicer school but I wanted to stay a little close to home hahah
