I got into Case Western and the PPSP program as an alternate (contact me about it if you want to). However, I am deciding between it and a couple other places. One factor is the Asian community. I am looking for a place with a solid Chinese/Eastern Asian community. Can someone please shed some light on this topic regarding CWRU? Thanks!

CWRU reports 18.4% Asian background in students at the university - approximately 1/5 students, so clearly well represented.

Felt like more than that when we visited recently.

During my orientation (current sophomore) they told us that Beijing had overtaken Cincinnati and Cleveland as the leading city of origin for freshmen. You should have zero problem finding Asian (eastern or southern) culture and community here.

My daughter is very interested in case . Can you list your profile. thanks

CWRU has a solid Asian American community, with very active campus groups – AAA, TASA, and KSA come to mind. Greater Cleveland, not so much. “Chinatown” consists of a scattering of Asian grocery stores set among the decaying warehouse/industrial district east of downtown.
