asian kid, nothing spectacular, where do i have a chance...?

im asian, and i was pretty "ok" in HS

boston latin school (VERY tough school, pretigious etc.)

gpa : 3.7 cumulative weighted after 1/2 of senior year
4 total APs and 6 Honors over HS
Extra-currics are ok, pretty mediocre, did all sorts of stuff, lots of work XP and volunteering, played piano for 8 years

SAT 2060

writing - 690
reading - 690
math - 680

SAT 2

Math 2 - 750
US History - 720
Physics - 630 :-(
Latin : 690

lotsa awards on national latin exams (2 gold medals, 1 silver)

what are my chances in these schools (i put what i think but i want your agreements/further comments)

school list:

(WHAT I THINK)

Reach

MIT
Harvard
Tufts
Cornell
Brown

Match

Northeastern
Boston College
Boston University

Safeties

Mass. College of Pharmacy
UMASS - Amhearst

I plan to do engineering (maybe Civil) or pharmacy if i went to MCP obviously (unlikely though)

do u agree with me on all of these?

ummmm where are u from?

boston latin school

HRMMMMM

i am from boston, MA

I would list Northeastern as a safety. Nice list of schools. I wouldn't be surprised if you got accepted to one the schools on your reach list.

Just a note: your list seems to be dominated by schools in bigger towns, but Cornell is kind of sticking out, because, while Ithaca is a great little town, it's surrounded by nothing. If you have a car, it's fine, but I suspect you will be missing Boston in no time. If you've considered this, then forget what I've said, but I just wanted to mention it.

Boston Latin School is amazing...I live on the north shore in MA and have heard about it. It tends to be overshadowed by Phillips though.

Anyways, I think the mention of the name should help you significantly. Good luck in your pursuits

i dont even know what phillips is...

anyways, anyone else think anything of the colleges on my list? especially which reaches u think i can get in etc.

I think you will get into Tufts.

You can cross MIT and Harvard off that list. No way jose. Your math is way tooo low for MIT and you have no MATH Awards or AMC competition.

asians compete with asians, xD good luck with those schools

dude why dont/didnt you retake SATI? you got a freaken 750 on sat II math 2c,

i did take the SAT's 2x - 1910 (horrid) and 2060 (ok), i know im "better" than that, but its too late now, i hate how we're valued in a frikkin four digit (hopefully lol) number

i think that gets me in a lot of trouble and i dislike the system a lot

Phillip's Academy in Andover, MA. One of the best if not the best private school in the nation

Yeah i'll agree with sanguine on that. One of the best in the nation.
