You guys forgot to mention these:
"hey mom I got a 100 on my test" reply "was there any extra credit?"
"Hey I got a 99.9 on my test" reply "where's the .1?"
"I'm gonna go to buffalo wild wings with my friends" reply "its 7:15 at NIGHT"
"I wanna go to Upenn or stanford. I think I'm gonna apply to Upenn ED" reply "what about Harvard?"

hahah ohh asian mothers.. the worst thing is that they flock

asian mom: hah, my sister's friend's brother's son's roommate got into Harvard on flute scholarship!
[3 years later, every asian boy in the neighborhood is coerced into playing flute in the local orchestra]

I hear ya bro. Wish they could just be like our fathers.. Or at least my father.. He really doesn't care about anything as long as I get into a college.

^Well, my parents wouldn't be shocked since most of my friends are girls, but my mom would ask what the girl's GPA was and how many relationships she's been in without fail. (Actually, my parents got semi-annoyed with me because I went to the movies/dinner/etc with a group of 8 people and I was the only guy)

Oh. Well, my dad is laid back. He came to the US during 8th grade, plus he runs a restaurants with teenage waitresses so he would know some stuff about American culture. So it's not as bad with him.

hahhaa same with case with guys, though.. my mom asks about my guy friends if they "gong-bu jal-hanee?" which roughly translates into "do they get good grades?"

and then i have to answer by giving their class rank or the # AP classes they take if i want any peace.
