Hi! =)

Congratulations to all of those who have been accepted to The Johns Hopkins University! This is an exciting time in your life and I wish you the best of luck as you decide where to go for college (I hope it's Hopkins).

Anyway, I am just posting to let you know about a special program for admitted students of Asian descent. Every spring, the Johns Hopkins Inter-Asian Council, with support from the JHU Office of Undergraduate Admissions, puts on Asian Perspectives. Asian Perspectives is a free weekend program designed to give students a look at the amazing student life and cultural melting pot found at Hopkins. This year, Asian Perspectives will take place from April 16-18, with the option of arrival on April 15.

Through Asian Perspectives, you'll have an opportunity to overnight at Hopkins, live in freshmen dorms, experience the rich cultural offerings found on-campus, and even attend classes with your hosts.

Asian Perspectives is a free program, though you'll have to provide your own transportation. Invitations were sent out in admission packets to all admitted regular decision students of Asian descent. But in case you didn't receive an invitation, you can register online at Asian Perspectives 2010.

Registration is open only to regular decision admitted students and will close on April 12th at 11:59pm EST.

I hope many of you consider attending Asian Perspectives. But if you can't, there are lots of opportunities to explore Hopkins in April. Admissions will be hosting a series of open house events in April. In addition, other organizations (particularly cultural organizations) are looking to host individual events as well. All of these events are designed to give you a greater understanding of where a Johns Hopkins education can take you.

Once again, congratulations on your acceptance to Johns Hopkins! If you have any questions about Asian Perspectives, you can direct it to our email account at asian.perspectives AT jhu.edu.

Thanks and best of luck as you decide where to attend college for your undergraduate years :)
