I am interested in starting up my own sorority. I understand the challenge. I was wondering how long do I have to wait in order to be chartered if I have 12 committed girls and funds to start a sorority?

Well it is easy to make just a student group on campus, you can do that any time. You just have to go to the SUA website. Maybe you want to start there and then try to move on from there?
Not sure what it takes to become an official sorority though…I am also not necessarily sure of the perks that are associated with being an official sorority vs. being just a student group.

Research sororities and contact them, also speak with your greek life advisor.
