<p>would you say that because Bowdoin is trying to diversify, that asians would have a better shot at getting in? esp. an asian male?</p>
<p>there are so many asians at bowdoin. I heard somewhere that asians are having a harder and harder time getting into top colleges and unis. But I think you may have a better chance than a white guy.</p>

<p>My son will be a senior at Bowdoin this year and my daughter attends
Wesleyan in Connecticut. At Wesleyan (and Bowdoin is now leaning this same way) Asians are not considered URM's (under-represented minorities).
If you're from outside of New England, Mid-Atlantic coast region, both schools
are looking for geogrpahic diversity. I know of 2 Asian football players (one at Bowdoin and one at Wesleyan), maybe the combination of being a
minority and playing a sports would be useful for an admissions boost.</p>
