Asians - But not those asians

<p>I know that you are qualified as Asian if you are from South Asia (Bangladesh specifically). But will colleges distinguish between East Asians and South Asians? Or are the difficulty still the same even for both?</p>

<p>For example what would look more impressive?</p>

<p>East Asian playing clarinet
Or
South Asian playing clarinet?</p>

<p>Also, I am not trying to be racist or anything, but seeing as how Affirmative Action is always putting us asians down, I am just worried :(</p>

<p>The application does distinguish between Asians from various countries. You supply the country of origin.</p>

<p>And any Asian not playing the violin is impressive. (Just kidding - it makes no difference whatsoever.)</p>
