That does suck. =| I live in the bay area in California... My school is literally 75% asian... So competitive academically though, seriously.

yeah, when i first came to US ( 3 years ago). I was initially placed in classes with Hispanics due to my limited English. I was mocked and humiliated at times.:( it was the first time i had ever seen people of the Hispanic race. needless to say, they gave me a HORRIBLE first impression..........scums......i dont have anything against hispanics as a whole......just....those individuals are so pathetic.

1 year ago, we hired some people to construct a brick wall in front of my house....one of the bricklayers was the Hispanic who humiliated me.....i ended up treating him like a slave and insulted his intelligence. i'm really elitist when people **** me off.

it was bad memory. within 3 months, i proved myself and got transferred to honor classes and they were full of smart people. it got MUCH better.

"Man... 20 years from now, I'm gonna hire those people who pick on Asians like that... and pay them to clean my toilets, pick my toes, and brush my teeth for me."

toilet, yes. however, i'd kick their asses if they dare to touch my toes. my toes are too clean to be polluted.

Hey guys,

Chill :O!

It really suprises me to see that this kind of thing is happening in so many places. I live in Orange County, CA, and my school is at least 50% Asian, most my friends are. In the honors and AP classes, its not unlikely for me to be one of the 5 white kids out of 40. It makes me sick that some people would treat others this way. My best friend is Korean, and I can't believe anyone would do this to her. These people are just sick.

Asians at my school aren't physically bullied, but socially bullied. We're actually really misunderstood.

There are asians in orange county? I thought it was just a bunch of preppy white kids...but hey, asians can stereotype about white people right ;)

I am an Asian who is a senior at a San Francisco Bay Area public high school. Our racial breakdowns are more or less pretty even. About 30% Hispanic, 25% Black, 25% Asian, and 20% White.

While there are numerous cases of students teasing and making fun of Asian stereotypes, but that is as far as that goes. If you stop to think about it, every ethnicity faces such teasing and stereotyping so it isn't a big deal. Racial discrimination, while present, hardly ever factors significantly into everyday life. Many friendships at our school transcend racial barriers, so even if a Black person was getting ganged up on, Hispanics, Whites, and Asians would all come to his/her aid.

And regarding stereotypical Asians who study furiously and are physically incapable of defending him/herself, there are very few at my school. But I agree with an earlier poster that everyone should defend himself when attacked. If you get attacked, don't just stand there and get plummeled. Fight back, no holds barred. Use anything that you can to get out of that situation. Take your attackers to the ground, grab a pen, and start stabbing away.

Our school I would say is about 75% asian. Our school probably harasses white kids the most....but jokingly usually. I would say our school is pretty racially tolerant overall, but the chinese "fresh off the boat" kids get made fun quite often, by all the other races, even though they are probably the majority. :/

But academically? Competitive. Big no.

people better stop doing this, or the asians will ***** them up someday...like in Romeo Must Die

14% of the population is Asian, which is higher than the California average. Not that you'd know this by watching shows like the OC.

It's really quite funny, how according to TV, there are no Asians at Yale, UCLA, New York City, Los Angeles, etc.
