How bad is FAR as far as getting around campus goes?

I got a small scholarship for being an instate minority.

County market is at 4th and springfield. Altgeld is at green and wright. You have to go 3 blocks west and 2 blocks north to get to county market from altgeld. Not bad.

There are quite a few. I went to St Johns at Newman Hall (Catholic) which is at 6th and armory. There are about 5 or so other churches within a few blocks of it. There are two right next to it. One is Lutheran.

Not sure, but I think living there means you will have to use the bus system constantly. If you are in ACES you aren’t in too bad of a position. CRCE (fitness facility) isn’t too far either.

I have a few questions!

 • I’m from NJ and I heard a lot of students are instate… are any of your friends out of state?
 • How is it being on at a large school (30,000+)? is it hard to meet friends?
 • What is the campus like? Is it a nice campus feel?

—Thanks!!

Yes a few of them are, and one of my best friends is from Hong Kong.

It’s incredible. It’s really easy to meet new people and make friends. There is a great social life and everyone is looking to meet new people.

Campus is nice.

Ill reiterate as illni has answered most already.

Neutz: Little to none. Mostly loans and i am middle class.

Mocking: Not bad at all . I lived at PAR. Buses run every 10 minutes and the quad is around a 10/15 minute walk.

bub; There are a bunch of out of state students but yes most are from illinois. Easy to make friends, and campus is always vibrant. I love having the feeling that i could meet a new person everyday. Everyone (mostly) seems happy

Thanks to both of you! Definitely keeping this on my list for colleges
