actually the Orbach library is open till midnight and rivera till 10. its prob open till 5 in the summer

The Science library is 24 hours during finals week. It’s actually kinda fun in an ironic way during finals week. The libraries always packed with people at all hours of the day and night

Libraries are open until midnight except on Fridays/Saturdays. 24 hours over finals week. Great place to study.

i got placed into english 005 for UCR
is this bad/good? can i graduate in 4 years?
is it a normal english class? am i on the right path? lol
and does this mean i passed or failed the english placement exam? thanks

Paully: it ehh you ll be behind a quarter in english but nothing bad. Usually people dont take 1c till senior year. Just be ready for boredom to the extreme

how can i make up that one quarter?
summer?
and does this mean i didn’t pass my exaam?

yeah you didnt pass. Just dont worry about it. Like i said people usually dont finish the eng series till senior year. 005 and 004. I personally find the placement test ■■■■■■■■ I think i learned how to write better thx to 1a. Just dont seat it you ll be good.

Same thing hapened to me and i am still on path to graduating in 4 well now 3 years

@Paully1006 You can apply for the summer bridge program and take it during the summer instead of the fall.

Did I do bad on the writing placement test if I placed into ENGL 005 and (005D or 005L)?

I think it means you failed the test since 1 is the basic starting point. Look at what Paully1006 asked previously.

What is the lowest level of math an incoming freshman could be placed into?

depends. are you chass or cnas or …?

what the difference between engl 004 and 005?

ohh goshh this is soo embarrassing:O okk butt doess anyone know if being placed into and intermidial math class puts you behind in graduating in 4 years?

I think it is a good idea for anybody to put together a four year plan on what classes you need to take for your major. While you are doing that, you need to look at the prerequisites for each class to make sure they are accounted for before you get to the point of taking the class. That would answer your question.

And looking through all the class descriptions will give you some idea of what flexibility there is within your major, what the school has to offer, and which direction you want to take.

I seriously don’t think one remedial math class will put you behind. There’s always summer school to make up classes.

I believe what people do in order to graduate on time is take 4 classes every quarter (not including summer). Summer usually puts you ahead of the game if you take 4 classes throughout the year. However, if you’re like me… and you’re lazy… I take 3 classes a quarter, but I’m taking summer school. I should be able to apply for business by the end of winter. I started with math 4 rather than math 22… so that’s sort of a review class. I also took econ 2/3 instead of just econ 4.

I don’t think graduating in 4 years is hard. Just don’t fail your classes. No matter how terrible your professor is, it’s still possible to pass the class.

@jenuwin01
thankyou veryy muchh for the informatiom:)
i will be majoring in Biologyy so thats why i thought it would put me behind since ive been hearing that alot of sci majors stay 5 years soo yeaa:)

@consider
Thankyou very much as well:)

I’ve seen a few questions about remedial classes putting you behind.

They’re not going to put you behind much…think about it like this: You probably only need a year of English, or two years of math (unless your major is English or math), so it doesn’t really matter where you start at, yeah? It would only put you behind if you needed 4 years of it, since now you’re at 4 and 1/3 years. Though for engineering majors, you need to be at Math 9B before you can start the physics series.

Thankk youu verryy much:)
yeaa well ill be a bilogyy major sooo yeaa i might change to physcologyy butt i really want to stick to bio and not be behindd:) i cant ttakee the remidial class during the summer since i will be in fast start so imma have to take it during the fall and winter quarter start in math 8a :/

Can someone tell me what do you do in BCH-095? And will there be any consequences if i were to be late from my Calc Discussion and BCH-095 (the learning community placed my chem first, then the calc discussion, then the BCH-095, which makes me go from bourns hall to Olmsted hall and back with only 10 minutes per trip)?
