I am glad some one from plv is here

Life has been a flash, While I can still remember I moved into this brand new dorm, now called “North Hall”, I actually am retiring and my kid has also graduated from college. Wilcox, Choate, Student Center, The Farm, Linhard etc etc. was still vividly in my memory, Nevertheless, I just learned that they are torn down the “new” dorm and moving “The Farm” to some where else. I am devastated because that broke my dream, yet I am happy for the progress. And the “mail truck” actually turned into a bus, running through the NY metro campuses.

Haven’t been back to Pville for AGES, hoping it is still as rural as when I was there. The reason I ask for the rare full ride scholarship is that in my days Pace was handing out full tuition scholarships to high stat students. I still remember the two recipients were from NC and they were straight A students through out.

Also, in those days, Pvill was looking for diversity, so they gave about 20 full ride scholarships for the low income students from Harlem, one of them was my roommate. Unfortunately, most of those students did not last too long and were dropped out of school in less than one year, so I had a new roommate in the second year,

Are the dorms co-ed now? In those days, we had strict visitation rules for the female dorm.

Hello! I actually live in north hall

There is a lot of construction going on, and I would not call the campus rural. All of the building you mentioned are still there.

*As far as construction goes:

The dorms on campus are: North Hall, Martin Hall, the townhouses and then there’s briarcliff campus which has 4 dorms- Pace is in the process of selling this campus to have everyone on one campus.

There will be 2 new residence halls: for Fall 2015 there will Alumni hall which is suite style, 4-6 people will share a bathroom and there will be a common area.

And Fall 2016 there will be another building just like Alumni hall and the goal is to make a quad like area and eliminate so much car traffic.

Kessel Student Center: Is expanding to have a bigger dining hall and include more seating. *

All dorms except for one on the briarcliff campus are coed.

The farm has been moved to behind a new environmental center so the farm is located near the Financial aid and OSA building.

I do not know anyone at the moment, other than athletes who have full ride scholarships but that is not my department so I do not have a definitive answer for you

Ok, I was mistaken that they were to knock down the North Hall to build a bigger one! But are they going to or have already remove the “farm house” for the new residential buildings? My English 101 was at the “farm house”.

In my days, the purchase of the Briarcliff College and get the University status(From Pace College) were the two headlines. Now they are selling it.

The farm house was, unfortunately knocked down. Initially the goal was to lift the house and move it to its new location, however when this was tried it was realized that the foundation was very weak and moving the building would be impossible.

The briarcliff campus is closing so pace can achieve their goal of having all students on one, unified campus

^^ Miss Overlander will be very unhappy if her farm house was knocked down, she was the custodian then. She should be in the 80s by now.

I was accepted into the Lubin School of Business with a amazing scholarship but can not find much info about the Pleasantville campus. Most of the posts are about the NYC Campus. The only thing I can find is that the parties are not great, which is not my main focus. Can anyone please let me know the real deal about the Pleasantville Campus? Will my degree get me a job? BTW I loved the feel of the campus and the small class size!
