Asking for Recommendations

So I was wondering, if you're applying as a transfer and u need recs, won't your teachers at your current school be kind of offended you want to leave and not really want to write you a glowing recommendation? How do you go about asking them??

Very common fear, but rest assured, your profs/TAs understand (or should) your situation. I would certainly not speak ill of your present institution when asking, but if asked why you want to transfer, you can couch it in the most neutral and diplomatic of terms. (For me, none of my profs really asked why I was transferring - one of them already knew and I didn’t have to explain.)

Most profs/TAs are very professional when it comes to writing LORs for transfer applicants. They know that students transfer for a range of reasons and write the LOR solely based on what they know of the student from class.
