I'm a student from Eastern Europe and I have a question regarding my recommender choice... my French and English teachers are truly the ones that know me best, given that not only am I active in their classes, but I have also participated in extracurricular activities with both of them. I'd like to pursue a major related to the humanities, but I'm wondering if maybe I should diversify the teacher choice a little bit? Maybe ask for a recommendation from my Math or History teacher, despite the fact that I don't feel like they know me as well as my foreign language teachers? Thanks!

I’m facing the same problem, buddy. My English teachers from 10th and 11th grade know me and like me better than any other teacher I have, but most colleges I’m applying to only allow 2 letters and I need to diversify the subjects a bit. I’d use one teacher from Foreign Languages, the one you feel truly knows you best, then find another teacher who could write you a good letter. Good luck!

You need to check each school for teacher recommendation guidelines. Each school has a different policy. English and French are both considered foreign languages for you but only French is considered foreign language here, so that may be fine.
