asking for waitlist acceptance extension??

hey guys, i was accepted into upenn cas on may 12th (according to my acceptance letter) from the waitlist. and i have until may 22 to reply with an enrollment deposit. however, i have not received my financial aid package in the mail yet. thus, i called sfs today and they told me my aid amount today which sounds really really bad. i plan to call penn and attempt to increase my aid package within the next few days, once i've received my financial aid package in the mail. do you think that penn might consider giving me a slight extension on accepting the waitlist offer, as i am getting my aid package so late? if yes, how do you think i should approach the issue? thanks for any help!

You can view your financial aid information online if you have your penn provided UserID and Passcode.

I also would call your regional admissions rep and explain the situation. It's not unreasonable to request sufficient time to work out the financial aid situation before making a decision.

anonymouse99, i have a penn userid and passcode, but where exactly do i enter it in to view my financial aid information. i looked online at my decisions page and it has been updated with a link for me to apply for housing, etc. but nowhere does it mention viewing the financial package. perhaps it might be different for waitlist acceptees?

45percenter, that sounds like a good idea; i will try to contact the rep asap.

thanks, both of you guys, for the suggestions
