So yeah I've been thinking about prom and my "non-existent" knowledge of it. I have some ideas of who I want to go with and I don't think it will be awk or anything. But, I'm a junior and our schools' proms are split (senior and junior prom). Should I ask my senior friend to my junior prom? But then would I have to go to her senior prom? o.O
Then next year when she's gone I'd have to find another girl, and I don't want to look like some random, indecisive guy.

Should I find another junior girl so that I have the option of going with her 2 yrs in a row? Or should I go with my 1st option and ask the senior girl? Then I'd have to find another girl next year...

(Not trying to steal someone else's post or anything.) TY

Don’t ask the senior girl to the prom. Because then it is expected you will go to the senior prom with her, and that seems like you are using her to go to the senior prom. You aren’t of course, but it looks bad.

are you kidding me? of course you can ask her. (this is coming from a girl) there is no expectation that she will have to take you to her senior ball or whatever. ours are split too, into junior prom and senior ball. there were plenty of juniors that asked senior girls to prom. and i dont remember any of those girls going to senior ball with them.

and asking the same girl twice in a row? why do you HAVE to ask the same girl senior year also? lets be somewhat logical here. plenty of guys go with different girls to every dance…thats pretty much expected, and normal, unless they’re gf/bf or have a thing or like each other
