<p>I am from Sri Lanka planning to start an MBA in USA possibly in Fall '09. My undergrad degree is in Agriculture (with a WES evaluated U.S. equivalent GPA of 3.03 on a 4 point scale) I have an IELTS score of 7.5 & a GMAT score of 530, which is my worry. I may have to take GMAT again bcz I'm looking forward to find an AACSB accredited B-school in the U.S. offering an Assistantship / Fellowship to fully fund my studies. (I heard that some B-schools are offering this to promote the diversity of student population) I was earlier interested in California B-schools but I have realised that they are v competitive. Now I'd go to any state. Any advices? Thanx in advance.</p>

<p>I don't know of any assistantships for students pursuing MBAs. They exist primarily for doctoral students.</p>

<p>Nope...sorry...just go on each web site of the school you would like to attend and go to their financial aid section. It should tell you there.</p>
<p>I haven't heard about fellowships for MBAs and while they may exist I certainly wouldn't count on getting one. Also, the vast majority of business schools already have tons of Asians and Indians and are probably not using diversity programs to get more.</p>

<p>Maybe she's heard of it before but does not know where they offer them? There's no need to be rude simply because someone does not have the information you're looking for.</p>
<p>Personally I've never heard of an MBA assistantship...</p>
<p>Hold on! my apologies people!!! my cousin was checking this forum for me a couple of my busy days. And this is what he has done. It won't happen again though. It seems obvious that Assistantships for MBA are not possible, isn't it?</p>
<p>There are some assistantships (not fellowships)...but like tbradford said I can't think of any off the top of my head. They are at low tier schools. Just google assistantships+mba. Lots of results...</p>
<p>Hey thnx! I'll check them out. Low tier or not I'll give a try. I don't think I can go for a top tier school with my qualifications unless I retake GMAT & score above 700.</p>
