Associate Management Consulting at a Big Four Firm at 28 - 29

Hi everyone,
I am interested in pursuing a career as a management consultant at a Big Four firm such as BCG, McKinsey…etc
However, due to certain circumstances, I am graduating late around 28-29 years old. My question is:

  1. How does my age and the fact that I graduated late affect my ability to get an interview as an associate at a Big Four firm? 2) What are my chances? Am I on the same playing field as a 22 - 23 year-old graduate?

It is no different for you at 28-29. You might even fare better if you come off more mature/responsible.

Sweet thanks for your answer
May I ask what major/GPA is most sought after?

btw - I think you mean Big 3 management consulting firms: McKinsey & Co.; the Boston Consulting Group, and Bain & Co.

Big 4 typically refers to the largest accounting firms.

I didn’t know that but your right that’s what I meant
