Associate of Arts (honors?) transfering for Bachelor of Science?... Need an intelligent opinion

I'm currently re-enrolled in community college after abandoning the idea out of experimentation and pursuing other goals. I'm now enrolled as a more mature, loving, and hard working person than before. This would be my first full semester and I've enrolled in all general education classes for this summer semester, Eng 101, Math 161 (pre-calculus 1), Chemistry 110 (pre-requisite to college courses i believe) and the required computer proficiency CIS 103. I am well prepared and feel this is a somewhat light work load and really desire to take 18 or 21 credits approx for my CC period. That is another story I suppose, there is not much to deter me from it and I'm waiting some response from the authorities who let you take extra courses in that regard. Still, your opinions could be valuable, though I already have some experience of the CC level work load, taking a few online courses in history originally before leaving. Perhaps these won't be so relevant to my current situation?

On the topic of my title though, I have a passionate interest in learning Asian languages, Chinese and Japanese, Japanese likely taking precedence in the beginning. I was thinking of a transfer eventually for a BA major in international studies, asian studies, or even language.

My second, and perhaps more weighted passion is to enter the field of green engineering, technology, inventing the newest renewable and healthy energy. I've already some ideas floating in my head. Regardless, If i was to take my CC's engineering science AS program, i'd still be two semesters behind, requiring me to take pre-calc 1 and 2 before as well as some chemistry pre-req as I referred to before and also some physics pre-req. My ideas of a goal at this point would be some type of electrical or power engineering with a green focus.

Idea 1 - Score very well, 3.9 in the AA honors program (this is like a general studies type honor program) It seems like I could do this in three semesters including a summer one. I would want to then transfer to BS program at a university that offers my asian language interests and engineering, particularly green stuff. Would this be possible, say for instance I might take some more pre-req before transferring? Any possibility of this? Would my honors AA be more worthy than any other AA or in comparison to an engineering science or science AS?

Idea 2 - Score well and transfer for BA, pursue the BA and language interests, do very well again and apply for a Masters program in my science. I've read this was possible quite a few times, I think this would possible for someone with my passion. A problem with this is that I feel an urgency to contribute myself and my passion, my humble talents, to the green technology world. I believe that ecological conditions are urgent, so even waiting 2 or 4 years to study science I might perceive as selfish and against my greater morality.

Idea 3 - Focus on AS pre-reqs and transfering and get a BS. Study asian language privately. I enjoy the arts and humanities and fine arts so I feel like I would be missing out in some way. I feel I would also miss out on the language classes, which I think I would like. Would these may be available in a BS program at some schools? In part, my choice would defer then to the perhaps unlikely possibility of Idea 1.

Thank you so much if you can answer my simple topic question or give some insight into the deeper ponderings. I have a deadline for payment of the summer semester soon, within a week, so time is important.

THANK YOU
Mike

Some corrections - I’m also taking Jap 101 for 5 courses this summer, with the possibility of maybe more.

Idea 3 is meant to say focus on pre-reqs, complete AS, and then get a BS.

I’ve heard of letters and sciences degrees but have been somewhat wary of the idea. I’ve read that they aren’t really favorable degrees, my idea for instance would be getting an inadequate amount of science courses, this might be good though with a dedicated passion and good scores? The question of taking a language for a BS is still in my mind as I say…

My current goals involve Chinese and Japanese for various reasons which I could explain if you’re interested, but I have intentions to learn many other languages as well, Asian languages. Not trying to be preferential, I believe they are two areas with low English fluency and a strong role in clean technologies. Many other countries have stronger average English fluency from my anecdotal observations.

I also intend to study Math till at least calculus one and two on the Arts path, taking as many high level ones as I can in CC. I find the realm of mathematics very interesting as well. I would be studying mathematics more perhaps on an engineering science pathway, but that’s not a problem. I’m aware some feel they are difficult classes though.
