Hello everyone this is my first post, I have been reading this forum a while and now need help. I am taking courses at a cc working towards an associates in accounting I am also on track to transfer to UCD for managerial econ. I am not sure whether I want to go in to business or accounting as they both interest me. Now for the question, I was told by a fellow accounting student that since we are taking an associates in accounting that I can not go for a masters in accounting, he said it was due to the fact that a lot of courses are repeat courses. I have tried looking this up to verify but could not find anything. Another question is if I choose the business route and go for an MBA would it look weird that I would have associates in accunting-bs in managerial econ- and mba? I feel like this is not a common track. All feedback is appreciated. Thank You

If you are taking courses in accounting then you no doubt have instructors who are very familiar with licensing requirements and the accounting curriculum. Go talk to one of them.

If you apply to MBA school nobody is going to care what AA degree you have. For that matter, what your BA/BS degree is in will matter less than what you’ve done after college. The better programs all expect their students to have a few years experience in the workforce before applying, and it better be something good.
