I'm not 100% sure what I want to do after college, but I know I major in physics. Astronomy interests me but I know majoring in it would narrow down my options after undergrad.

If I do physics as an undergrad, will it be difficult for me to get a graduate degree in astrophysics or astronomy? Or should I look into a double major, physics+astronomy?
I was also considering physics+finance just because that would leave me with so many options.

Thanks!

Though I don't know the exact answer to your question (I'm a rising freshman in college), physics and astronomy majors are very similar. If you go for a physics major with a few courses in astronomy, you practically have an astronomy major. At my college an astronomy major has most of the typical physics requirements + 4 astronomy courses!

I recommend asking your question on Physics Help and Math Help - Physics Forums under Academic & Career Guidance. They may be able to help you more there as many practicing physicists post there.
