ASU/Barretts - International Student - Urgent Help

Dear CC members ,

I am Indian . I intend to come to the US for higher education . I dream of studying at universities such as Stanford/UC-Berkley/UCLA for my undergrad but my grades and my especially my SAT score are not sufficient to get into these universities. My list now includes ASU (and Barrett's) which is a decent university for engineering . I want to know more about the university and especially about Barrett's. What are the facilities they provide to engineering students , how is the quality of education ? , how are the internships ?. What kind of a job I would get if I graduate from ASU ? and what kind of graduate admissions am i looking at ? (can I get into Stanford at least for my Graduate degree) , Finally , What will I be missing out on ?

I wanted to know my chances at ASU and Barret's and what else I would require in order to gain admission into both as an international freshman.

I know it is advised not to enter a college with a mind of transferring to other universities but I want to like ASU and make the most of it . I will try to transfer to my dream schools though.

It would be helpful of you people to suggest universities for me.

**BUMP …

Please help me out**

BUMP … Anywhere else where I could fit in ?

That SAT score will probably not get you into ASU Honors.

ASU (and perhaps the University of Arizona) are both places where you may gain admittance (though probably not to the Honors programs). Budget cuts are a problem in Arizona, but that should just make them even more likely to take a full-pay international student.

Also look at the University of Utah.

Regarding transfers, I would listen to Terrence Tao:

What is your gender? Some private tech schools may be happy to take you regardless of the SAT scores if you are a girl.

Gender : Female .

Bump for more suggestions.
