An excellent engineering school by any measure. Just be aware freshman class sizes might be big before the cull.
Interesting divergence between enrollment and degrees conferred.
Enrollment:27000
Degrees:5200

Arenât you comparing apples to oranges? Enrollment is over multiple years, degrees is not, and enrollment is increasing so degrees will trail enrollment.
Wouldnât a better metric be the share of Engineering students who graduated within 4, 6 or even 8 years of entering Fulton for the first time?
Yes. Enrollment needs to be divided by 4 for comparison. Maybe i can edit for clarity.
Enrollment(Bachelors): 5000
Degrees Conferred(Bachelors): 3100
Just wanted to point out the size of the engineering school and the number who finish the program or degrees awarded.
The class sizes for introductory courses like Calc I are big and gets better in the later years. Needless to say class sizes are big in the freshman year at a lot of schools.
Since ASU is not that selective at admissions, is it a surprise that some amount of ânatural weedingâ occurs because some students find that studying engineering is too hard or too much work for them?
The âweed outâ part is not a surprise. The steep increase in enrollment in the last 5 years has lead to large class sizes and housing issues. I wanted to bring attention to that.
To see class sizes, you can just look at the class schedule. For example:
