At BS

Do they frown upon the use of Limewire, Frostwire, etc. I do not use it much, I just use it if the music, movies, etc. I want is not on iTunes (which is rare)... It is illegal, and above that it likely has their IP stamp on it.

Because my cell phone provider does not offer a tethering plan (ability to use your phones network (3G) on your pc) which is frowned upon.

I don't use the latter for anything illegal or to go watch blocked sites. Sometimes when I am away from a wifi network and typing on that little phone gets irritating I just connect it up.

So does anyone know if BS frown upon this. I have no need to do it, it is really convenient at times, though.

Yes they frown upon it. All schools do because the school will get in trouble for it because it has their IP address on it.

At my current school, we can get in a s*** load of trouble for just having it on our school computers.

That's where option two comes into place I guess :). Using my phones ip.

Well at sps, limewire doesn't work.
So most people use Skreemr or get their friends to send it to them over aim.

Ahahahaha. Skreemr does not work with macs, well, for some reason.

Having a cell phone helps... It can be a double whammy though, breaking terms of contract with ATT while doing illegal things... :P

Ummm I have a mac and it works perfectly fine....

I don't know why it doesn't work with mine. It doesn't load, at all, but that is likely not the OS problem. It works on my Dad's dell, though.

what about torrents?

Last time I torrented a movies on my cell phone...

ATT calls... I get grounded for close to a month... I mean opening websites is Ok but downloading so many gigs is too blatant.

I am sure the school network is ok, though.
