<p>I am aware that uva has selected its Jefferson scholar finalists. My question is if uva has selected their "at large" jefferson scholars yet. Is it the at the same time as the other finalists? When I was looking at previous posts it looked like they notified in february, but im not sure if the selection process was different then. </p>

<p>There was a discussion about this in an earlier thread. My understanding (from the Jeff Schol office) is that at-large candidates are selected/recommended by the admissions team, and are notified by the Jeff schol folks in Feb.</p>
<p>That’s all anyone seems to know.</p>
<p>Finalists can’t be selected yet. That happens at the weekend in the spring.</p>
<p>We won’t do at-large selection for a few weeks.</p>

<p>Please refer to the following link to the Jefferson Scholars website that explains the selection process. On the right there is a timeline. As you noted, in a previous thread cc member exstudent called and confirmed the “at large” candidate selection will begin in early February.</p>
