At the U of M - Twin Cities, do AP Scores go on your transcript?

I'm to be a freshman there, and I was just looking on the Grad Planner and did APAS Report and I realized you could see the AP Score... next to the class it says T and then the score you got? like T5, T3,etc.

I'm really bugged about this because I got a 3 on AP Macroeconomics that I sent there, and I wanted to try to have a clean, perfect record and all that when I got to college :/

Do AP Scores go on the actual transcript for the U of M - Twin Cities???
I didn't think even Ivy Leagues did that..

And a bonus question if anybody knows..what about LPE (Language Proficiency Exam) scores...I passed one since I took the language in high school, but do the numbers I got on the test go on there or just that I passed?
Hopefully I'd like to hear from a student who has had a transcript, or just someone who knows this for sure

Thanks!

You can print an unofficial transcript on OneStop, so maybe that’d tell you.

Seriously, I don’t think anybody would care.

None of the scores you mentioned go on your transcript. The APAS report is something completely different.

I suppose if you want a “clean” record then you could ask the U of MN to not give you credit for AP Econ and then remove it from you record. S1 attends a different college, but on his transcript it simply shows the credit for the courses he tested out of.

I think it is great that they give credit for AP’s. Though S2’s Calc AP (5) does not apply because he has to take Calc for his major. And his Language score doesn’t show up because there is no language requirement for BS degrees. But I guess they made up for it by giving him 6 credits for his AP US History.

“I think it is great that they give credit for AP’s”

I agree. I got 43 credits with APs and I love the program.

S1 just got 39 credits for ap work. A nice start to freshman year.

Erm sry, I don’t mean to be rude but…where in this thread does it seem like I want to know how many AP credits you or your son/daughter have… -.- ? Please find the parent section to compare children elsewhere

Dear dougie “naokifresh”,
Some parents tend to be interested in how their $100,000 of hard earned money is being invested. Unless if you are paying 100% of your own college costs, expect parents to be involved. Let me guess, You take Mommie and Daddy $$, right?

Right…I was merely calling attention to the fact that telling your kids stats (not just you but some of the other posts too, I meant) on this thread seemed a bit random and not that related to questions I posed in the topic
It’s good to be interested in your children to a point, but hopefully they’re more to you than just investments to be freely discussed/compared on the Internet at every moment. The site’s purpose is not that…it’s for students anyway. But again, that’s why there is a different section and different topics that parents can talk to each other about that if they so need to…I was just saying for the sake of the thread, it seems quite random to say those things here, to a student asking a different question…
There’s no need to get snipey

You threw your classmate freecell under the bus as well. Social skills really count. Do You think a job interview cares about your H.S. ap scores? LMAO! Networking and relationships matter. My son’s best friend was #1/668 4.77 14 ap’s, all 5’s, a perfect 2400 sat, and the #22 ranked tennis player in the states. Stanford said, Yawn, no thanks. He is going to Cal. Just another frustrated perfectionist.

“Erm sry, I don’t mean to be rude but…where in this thread does it seem like I want to know how many AP credits you or your son/daughter have… -.- ? Please find the parent section to compare children elsewhere”

Your post sounded kinda critical of the program. I just wanted to show how valuable it is. No need to be so defensive.

As far as your questions are concerned, I gave the best response I could as did most other posters. I think you got good information.

@popeyoung5 I’m not trying to network with this question…I understand that importance you speak of, but I was just trying to get some facts related to the transcripts cleared up. Also not trying to throw anybody under the bus (?), but I felt the direction of the thread turning into yet another AP comparison thread (which, as you said, will not help anyone get a job interview). Just trying to stay on the topic of transcripts ^^
I’m sorry if you’re frustrated/concerned about your son and the pressures you mention. Hopefully it works out, have faith in your son, seems like he will do just fine

@freecell I’m just felt it was unrelated to mention how many one has, or to me it seemed so. I don’t know where at all you think I’m being critical of the program ? (I agree, of course it’s good! ) From your first response, it’s a relief to hear the scores will not be on there! I was defensive because i just didn’t want this to turn in one of those share how many AP credits you have threads and all, there’s enough of those already, you know how it is

Now, back to the subject…! I think the transcripts aren’t completely updated on the website , it just says the number of credits…not the course. I’m guessing it will update soon to include that, as well as a blurb of some kind about any LPE pass?

I don’t know when the unofficial transcript updates, but I really wouldn’t worry about it. Your APAS report shows all the info you need for scheduling.

The unofficial transcript shows what your official transcript will look like to those who are interested in your transcript. How you relate to people in a face-to-face interview will always matter too.
