athlete d3 school question

well well, I already have been contacting with the Emory coach. he told me he will put me in the top recruiting list. I am not sure how much he can change the admission since I really have low grades…(but everything else is fine) anyone?

What is your sport and how far below the average freshman profile are you?
Karen

Track and SAT is on the average and SATII's are ok or better 610 writing, 680 2c, 750 spanish , 800 korean. I have below 3.0 due to the english being my second language, and attending one of most demanding private high school in nation. I came to US 4 years ago.

Did you apply ED to Emory? If the coach told you that you are a top recruit, that should be a huge help. Are you a distance runner? What are your times? I looked into Emory for my son who is a hs junior. He would run cc and track. I don't think your stats seem too low except for the GPA, but that is understandable. I think you will be fine.
thanks well I am a jumper/sprinter...I can jump 21' LJ and 43''TJ.

do you know if Emory's track is strong sports compare to other sports in Emory? like i saw swimming, tennis are #1 in nation. but track is like 22th in nation...

I think track is fairly important. Emory doesn't have a football team, which helps the other sports, but also hurts the perception of athletics at the university as a whole. Karen

I dunno what type of pull coaches at DIII schools had. Johns Hopkins and Muhlenberg (both DIII) were really heavily recruiting me, but once I stopped contact, they did as well. I'm not applying to either school.
