Atmosphere?

<p>I've been trying to figure out how exactly the academic atmosphere is at Mt. Holyoke, but I haven't really succeeded. How would you describe the students and the effort they put into their work? The vibe I've gotten from Mt. Holyoke students is that "everyday is a happy day"... and I know that sounds weird, but they just seem really, REALLY friendly, as well as accepting and welcoming. Hmm, how is the atmosphere?</p>

<p>Also, how would you describe the ON-CAMPUS social scene? I realize that South Hadley is not really the most 'happening' place, but how 'happening' is the campus?</p>

<p>I just visited, and yes, everybody is indeed very nice, but also very boring. I know it sounds mean, but I kind of thought the campus (although very beautiful) was pretty dull.</p>

<p>Let's just put it this way: I once cried in a public space, and a girl told me to be quiet because she was trying to study.</p>

<p>The campus is very, very picturesque. If you want things to do, there are regular bus services to other campuses in the area. I have friends who went to Mount Holyoke and they would describe it in the same way.</p>
