<p>Ok, I'm just joking, I love Stanford. Provocative thread title out of the way, would you guys retake a 790 MATHIIC and a 770 Chem? If I ace Bio and Lit, will the adcoms see:</p>

MathIIC 790
Literature 800</p>
<p>Or will they see all my scores, including my 770 chem? Also, are engineering or business impacted majors, meaning they have set quotas of how many of each can be accepted?</p>
<p>I think you're crazy to even think of putting yourself through those tests again with the scores you got. They'll probably see all of your scores. 770 is not going to hurt you...at all.</p>
<p>Ok thanks. So, if I take two more SATII's , and get 800's, will the adcom's see the 770 like right next to them? I realize that 770 is a fantastic (at least by my standards) score, but its like the difference between $9.99 and $10, a whole number, just seems cleaner and nicer, dunno why. =/</p>

<p>Do you enjoy spending your Saturdays taking SATs? They only count 3 highest scores (now, without the writing test maybe even only two).</p>
<p>No dude. When you say count, do you honestly believe they count them? What if you got 4 200 SATII's and then got an 800? You don't think they'd be suspicious? Will they see my chem or not, if I take 2 more and get 800 on them?</p>
<p>Collegeboard sends all of the SAT IIs you take together, so yeah, they'll <em>see</em> them. They say they don't take any more than the top 3 (or whatever -- don't you only have to take 2 now, anyway?) into account. But it seriously doesn't matter. I had two 800s and a 770 (in Math IIC, no less, so it was a pathetic percentile, and I want to be a physics major) and got in. I understand that it looks ugly (I didn't like applying with a 770 either, and thought about retaking just for aesthetics and 'cause I knew I could do better), but just grin and bear it, 'cause retaking makes you look anal and it really seriously doesn't matter.</p>

<p>I love when conceited people come on here and need consolation for a score like that. It's like when some idiot asked if he should retake a 1590 SAT I (old ones), I mean c'mon, of course you should retake that, its the difference between the Automatic Rejection pile and the Will Consider With A Substantial Bribe pile, but nowhere close to getting into the Consider pile, I mean, what do you think Stanford adcoms are, stupid? Rich? </p>
<p>Just shutup and don't waste any more of your time, energy, or money worrying about petty scores or taking the tests that you will come to realize are relatively inconsequential in relation to the rest of your application.</p>
