Attitude problem?

my best friend (we our out of state) has that stats i think to get him into usc... 3.7, 1320, used to be class vp, has a ton of leadership activities at school, good essay, good recs, takes honors courseload..

but when i reread his sent app, he made one HUGE mistake to say in ANY app that might make them think he has a really really bad attitude (which of course he doenst)...

under special circumstances, he talked baout how our school doesnt weight grades, so class rank is weird, and a 3.7 from honors classes is immensely different from a 3.7 in regular classes at our school...anyways he put in his app:

"my school doenst weight, and i think my class rank would be a lot higher if not for those kids who take 3 study periods a day".

nobody takes 3 study periods a day, it was a pretty bad thing to put in an app, but im wondering if this look of bad attitude will affect his chances?
usc is his ABSOLUTE dream school, so any comments will be appreciated

BUMP cmon lol

hmm...3.7 isn't really that great for USC. Neither is a 1320. I think he should be more worried about the stats more than the essay. Although he has a chance, he isn't above the average. Sorry, but good luck to him. BTW, it doesnt sound too bad but better left unsaid.

PinkPather36 said 3.7 unweighted. If most of those classes were honors and weighted, he would have a higher GPA than 3.7.
