Congrats Zirkon! That means you are most likely IN!

w0rd =P
yeah, i met someone @ huntsman w/ a 700 on her SAT II (french) .. she said she didn't really do much in way of her language either so u really don't have to be like, amazing..

Zirkon, when exactly did you receive the letter? Just today? Good luck!

I got it today, like 11:30 in the mail (I sent in a paper application), it was postmarked for wednesday though

I am really nervous (This is the second time it feels like admission relies on a one-shot tesT)

Also, I've been told that its usually not the language that keeps people out of Huntsman, its the math stuff

In the mail as in "in your mail box" or email?

Math? What have you heard about the math stuff?

Yah, as in in the mailbox, priority mail actually

Well, Ms. Mace basically told me its the math side and the language side they look at, (Math SAT, SATIIs, AP Exams, classes etc) they expect a 700+ on IIc and you need a year of calc before matriculating

oh, yea, def the yr of calc
i'm glad i didn't apply now, my bc score was reallllly sucky

Zirkon, out of curiosity, what state are you from?

Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh area

Ah... anyone else get the letter? I'm in DC and did not yet

Kingb, the letter was sent priority mail, so it would take 2-3 days to reach you (I think, I sent one of my apps in by priority mail, and it took 3 days). So, don't worry, I am sure you'll get it.

As for me, I doubt I got it, so, I am not expecting anything. Good luck y'all!

i got mine today, but i think its for ppl whose language skills are border line; i only got 700 on my french

Hi Beechling, no, the tests are sent to qualified applicants only...by that, they mean "people who we are planning to admit" only. So, you are practically in! Congrats!

how do you know these are individuals they want to admit?

what kind of year of calc are they looking for? AP course? or just any honors calculus?

I think they are looking for AP Calc...if I am not mistaken. But what the heck do I know...

They want you to be able to get credit for as much stuff as possible

i got the letter today (i live in d.c.). woohoo!

I need to find out whether the exam is in simplified or traditional (hope its simplified)

traditional...the last time I heard..which is kinda weird.
