is lacrosse easy to learn if you've been playing hockey for 8+ years?

a lot of my guy friends that are hockey players picked up lacrosse very easily and made varsity within a year... so i would say yes

Yeah I would think It would be easy.

lol i play hockey too (8-9 yrs) and always wanted to play lacrosse so bad. there aren't any lacrosse teams at my school or even with say 50 miles, so i guess i'm outta luck :(.

Lacrosse is really easy to pick up if you have athletic abillity. By this I mean not only speed + agility but great hand-eye coordination. If you play hockey, I assume you have quick hands, which are necessary. But yea, I picked up lax in 9th grade and made varsity the next year...it isn't too hard to get dece at it. Just find a wall and practice.

If you're athletic, you'll pick it up in no time. Lacrosse is a sport all about athletic ability.

Ziggy how are there no lax teams within 50 miles? there are tons of lax programs in PA

The best lacrosse players I know also played hockey. One of my good friends was our state player of the year in hockey then lacrosse. He went on to Duke to play lax. But we know what happen from there.

most sick hockey players i know dedicate their life to one sport: hockey. i actually haven't met as many hockey-lacrosse guys comparatively.

Most lax players i know are soccer/football players too.

so i've heard...but i can't just go to a school 20 miles from here and be like "hey, put me on your lax team"

true, i assume you dont live in eastern pennsylvania
