Attn sex at brown on TV tonight -

Dude if get in I'm soo there haha.

Ilovebrown----what matters is if they're being safe?

Upwards of 30 people were carted off by EMS, at least 2 were intubated, and health services took in even more students I think. That is NOT being safe, some of those people almost died.

When incidents like that only occur in those proportions during 3 special times of the year, SPG, Star----, and spring weekend, then those events need to be reevaluated. There is obviously something about them which is causing great risk for many students.

my opinion...those ppl want to do the things they do and would do them even if not for those events... it's just that during those particular events they all do it in the same time and that's why it seems so "out of proportions". the main problem here is the fact that those particular ppl can't abstain themselves from drugs or alchool.

if Brown didn't allow club parties on campus, imagine if that many students were injured in a location away from safety - hospital, ambulance..

This is ridiculous. There was a higher incidence of EMSings, but they are the faults of the kids who were EMSed. They themselves are to blame for not knowing their limits.

And the party was the best thing I've experienced since I went to Cancun this summer. No joke.

GHBrown08 -- Right, that's my point. I agree with you completely. My point was that it seemed like they were criticizing the fact that the party was sexy and that there was a "tone" set by a "core" of gay kids. I think the problem with the party has nothing to do with sex or sexuality, but with people not knowing how to drink safely (or chosing not to).

Sorry if I was kind of unclear.

This isn't about sex, gay or straight. It's about irresponsible students bringing down the reputation of a great school. What is the first thing that the parents of kids who want to go to Brown next year are going to say after this. "No way I'm paying for this." Those kids hurt not only themselves, but many kids whose parents will refuse to let them go to Brown. Instead of blaming O'Reilly, who is a half wit, they should blame themselves.

Most parents know that if they're paying for their kids to go to college, they're paying for their kids to be in an environment where there is sex and alcohol available. Brown is no less of a "great school" because some crazy guy on tv wants to criticize the "gay tone" of our parties. I'm honestly not too worried that this will damage Brown's reputation with parents too much.

On the contrary, I think this will attract more applicants. After all, the guy said it was the "wildest party" he'd ever seen - and I can attest to that fact

if they don't want to pay for their kids to go to a school with a gigantic wild party like that once a semester, they can send their kids to the local big state school where they can party like that every weekend for free.

So......lots of cameras were there....when does the DVD come out? I mean how long can this private fundraiser toward next year's party take?

i think some parents are going to think twice before encouraging their kids to go to this school. Brown needs to crack down.

Not to be a real ass, but who cares if more people apply? Large donations impact this school more than a few new applications.

It's a matter of school pride. I admit I'm not a major party person and maybe not the best judge, but this seems out of control and bad for everyone involved.

Some would say having hosted the party of the year is a very Prideful thing. If you don't party then don't worry about it. This party just happened to make it into the press.......greater and lesser parties will be hosted but none may garner the infamous character that this one did.

I think we've all unified over a hatred of Bill O'Reilly here on campus. School pride is probably higher than ever now, except among the prudes (wait, they exist here?)

How about the "reporter" I mean Mr. Bill didn't show up although he does have some history w/ younger women now doesn't he?

anyone who thinks that this isn't amazing is seriously lame. brown just became so much more incredible.

If anything, I think this makes Brown MORE attractive to people. :)

Oreilly should seriously think twice before drumming up a sex scandal.
