before I wasn't too upset with O Reilly, but now, jesus christ

Now he's getting ridiculous, I hope people realize how much he's talking out his ass.

before I wasn't too upset with O Reilly, but now, jesus christ

Now he's getting ridiculous, I hope people realize how much he's talking out his ass.

We already knew he just made stuff up about important things (political campaigns, the war in Iraq, etc). Now we know he makes stuff up about things that are not of any significance whatsoever, too (how a couple hundred kids partied last weekend).

Don't make this about O'Reilly. He is an idiot, and a liar. We know that. The problem is the Brown students. Their arrogance and uptightness. What, they do stuff like this and are surprised that right wing know-nothings like O'Reilly run with it? The way to cut off O'Reilly is to admit the mistake, and stop such idiocy in the future.

arrogance and uptightness

I don't see how partying naked and blind drunk are uptight

mistake? idiocy?

There is no "mistake" besides the individual mistakes of students who do not know how to drink safely, or chose not to.

thank you ILoveBrown, the only "wrongdoings" at this party were the people who caused injuries to themselves.

"the only "wrongdoings" at this party were the people who caused injuries to themselves."

And who are those people? I'd say anyone who took part in this inane event.

How so? How did I cause injury to myself? I had a great time.

You know....the photos and flap which will all come out in the process of confirming you for SCOTUS or President or Senate. Those kinds of harm.

yeah, cuz everyone here is a poli sci major with interest in politics

cough

How many judges, senators, and presidents do you think were poli sci majors? Come on. Brown students become world leaders, world leaders get attention. If you become famous some day, somebody might pull this up.

Just thought I'd throw this in the midst of this heated discussion:
SexPowerGod was definitely the most amazing party that I have ever been to!!
I hope everyone else that went had as great a time as I did =)

Right hazmat, well that injury would have been done by O'Reilley and his ******* cameraman, not the "inane event" itself.

yeah because everyone at brown becomes a well-known world leader

MoatToMoat........I was pointing out that the "injury" as declared might not evidence itself in the immediate nature. To gain remedy one usually has to demonstrate harm and I agree that without the "flap"...the photographer and story it may not have been harm at all. I am not disagreeing with you.

Basically, hazmat, you said it better than I could. If it hadn't been in the press, no harm done, who cares. But when it becomes public, it could embarrass you, the school, and your parents, who might not see it the same way as a student would. That's all I'm saying. Not passing judgment on anybody or anyone, except O'Reilly, who is a moron basically.

Ruppert Murdoch is the one who is paying O'Reilly........Fox News et al. It is an amazing thing to think that we are in college during the neocon resurgance. I mean it was our folks during the Chicago Riots and now comes out turn I guess. Many students I know feel very out of sync with this conservative movement.

just wondering: besides Fox News and the discussions here on the board, have there been any other public reactions to Saturday's party?

I guess you are asking about major news agencies? Media stuff? NO NO and NO. I mean how can they show the photo of the "guy wearing only a red beer cup intering the EMS vehicle"? The whole description would get pretty funny. I haven't read or seen any other coverage. Don't despair however for the annual Harvard~Yale game is this weekend.....can fun know a limit? I think not.
